Registration Now Open for the CO-SECUR Final Conference
How can we improve security perception and behaviour in public spaces, crowded areas, and at large events? This is the question the CO-SECUR consortium has been exploring over the past three years. On 24 November 2026, the project will bring its work to a close with its Final Conference, taking place at Valencia Innovation Capital in Spain, with online participation also available.
The one-day conference will bring together policymakers, public authorities, practitioners, first responders, researchers, civil society organisations, industry representatives and citizens to exchange perspectives and explore how different parts of society can contribute to safer and more resilient public spaces.
From research to practical solutions
At the heart of CO-SECUR is the idea that security solutions should be developed with society, not simply for society. The conference will highlight how co-creation, social innovation and innovative approaches can contribute to security solutions that are more inclusive, effective, and responsive to societal needs.
Participants will discover the project’s main results and explore how they can be applied in practice, including:
- The Societal Development Plan
- Practical guidelines
- Policy recommendations
- The CO-SECUR platform, showcasing use cases on social innovation in security
- Key project tools and methodologies
Join us in Valencia or online
Whether you work in public administration, research, industry, civil society, media, security or another field connected to public spaces and community resilience, the CO-SECUR Final Conference offers an opportunity to discover the project’s results and contribute to the discussion on the future of people-centred security.
